North Ridge Elementary School

Simply put, Michelle Dischner can do everything (and she does). She directs the traffic
into our North Ridge parking lot both at arrival and dismissal keeping 720 students and
staff members safe and secure. She then interacts with our youngest students, listening
and talking to the TK and kindergarten students helping them learn critical skills of
sharing, being patient, taking turns, etc. At lunch Michelle helps feed 720 students and
ensures a healthy and enjoyable lunch, telling the students to eat their main food first
and then allowing them to eat the cookie or ice cream. She plays favorite children songs
to enhance student climate, sings birthday songs, and plays games to engage students
as well Michelle makes North Ridge “Shine Brighter” with “Excellence on Purpose.”
