Vision Statement and Goals – North Ridge, the Home of the RoadRunners
Establishing overall direction and specific targets are paramount to creating a school environment that guarantees a high quality educational program for all of our children.
Our Vision for North Ridge Elementary School is to work cooperatively as staff, students, parents and community to provide a safe, positive environment recognizing the uniqueness of all. Our commitment is to provide a challenging curriculum while encouraging continuous learning and developing responsible citizens.
Assisting students in reaching high academic standards is the primary goal of North Ridge School. Grade level requirements have been developed using state standards which specify the goals, objectives and skills each teacher must teach at each grade level.
An academic focus is reflected in a broad based, clearly defined curriculum which includes: language arts, math, history/social science, science, physical education, and visual performing arts. While all students have access to the core curriculum, the curriculum is modified to meet the needs of students with differing abilities, so as to allow achievement at their highest potential. A variety of teaching strategies and materials are utilized to maximize student success and achievement.
