Think Together Distance Learning Interest Form

Northridge Elementary Distance Learning Interest Form

On behalf of Think Together, we would like to share our well wishes in hopes that you and your family are safe during this time. We want you to know that you are not alone in your efforts to support your child’s education while at home. We are in this together.

Think Together is excited to partner with your child’s district to offer your child Distance Learning to promote student learning and engagement. Our goal is to bring this learning opportunity focused on academic support, community building, and healthy living among other enriching components and virtual experiences to each student from the comfort of their home.

Think Together staff will use educational web-based services and applications to create a virtual program experience. Many of the Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policies of these applications state that, due to Federal and state Law, any student users must obtain parental consent to use their sites and often require an email address or other personal identifiers information. Our web-based learning will be operated not by Think Together, but by third parties, like Zoom and Google. For our students to use these programs and services, certain personal identifying information such as the student’s name and registered IDs must be provided to the web site operator, in this case, Think Together staff and Zoom.  Under federal laws entitled the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), these websites and Think Together must provide parental notification and obtain parental consent before collecting personal information.

We are excited to continue supporting your student(s) and have developed a School Site-Specific Online Interest Form to share with our parents/legal guardians and for you to complete if you are interested in having your student(s) participate. One online form can be used for up to four children. Once the online interest link is complete, expect a follow up email and phone call from a Think Together Site Leader or Program Staff Member to confirm their participation in the Distance Learning program and share the program schedule.

We look forward to working with your child as Think Together continues to work in partnership with school districts and families to change the odds for kids.
